Jay is the pain master behind the wildly popular Park City Point 2 Point mountain bike race, which he calls the “ultimate side hustle.” His branding and marketing chops have been developing for nearly 30 years and in his spare time he guides Ski Utah Interconnect tours. He has called Park City home for over 20 years and loves the summer with its easy access to miles of trails. He has recently started retreating to Teton Valley, Idaho, for a change of scenery. Other activities he enjoys are traveling and armchair street photography.
Balance. I love the rewards of hard work, but there is nothing better than the unwinding exhilaration that comes from that post-workday MTB ride.
The moment I step into the mountains, that's where I find my internal peace.
I typically prefer the serenity of human-powered ski touring, but without question, a big mountain heli-ski trip to Alaska (think Points-North Heli Ski, Chugach Range) with a group of rippers—that's what I dream of.
My stoke song is Moose Song, by Big Head Todd and the Monsters.
Find a community where you can make the outdoor life a part of your everyday life. t doesn't need to be the quintessential mountain town, just a place that offers that spot where you can step away from the electric life we are all exposed to, if even for only a small walk.
