We are super excited to unveil the new Stio Mountain Studio, located on the “Town Square” here in Jackson Hole. After many months of hard work by local architects, artists, builders and the Stio retail crew, the doors are open! For our Grand Opening weekend (Oct 11-14), a portion of proceeds in the store and online will be donated to the preservation of the Whitebark Pine, the catalyst for our Stio pinecone logo.

The feel of the store is rustic contemporary – a distinctive mix of classic mountain lifestyle with modern hi-design. Hardwood flooring from Tennessee Wood Flooring was laid along the floor and carried up the back wall to visually support the “Let the Outside in™” message of the Stio brand.
Our architect, Nona Yehia of E/Ye Design created a stunning, deconstructed version of the iconic Stio Pinecone logo for the store’s backdrop. This distinctive piece of art was crafted by local artisans from eight pieces of laser-cut apple core plywood. The panels are layered to create dimension and depth. We love the interaction of modern design with nature, and this embellishment is a perfect example of this aesthetic.

What does Stio mean? Where does the name originate.
The store looks terrific! Love the the pipe hanging racks. See you next week!
The name Stio originates from the the Gaelic word for Stephen, “Stiofan.” It is also a word that evokes feelings of style and strength, which are integral parts of the Stio brand ethos. Thanks for following Stio!
So glad to see you up and running! We here in Connecticut … who only get to visit… wish you the very best and we’ll spread the word!
