slim cut Review by gifter

These pants are really nice. They have a slim cut, which looks great, but unfortunately they are getting tight on my husbands legs as he builds muscle through the ski season. If you have thick thighs and glutes this may be a problem.

I'd been looking for a pair of wool pants like this for a while and just couldn't find any at what I thought was a decent price (or at all). This pants are comfortable, very warm, and do just the job I wanted. Everything else I found was nothing but thin trousers meant for work. These are tougher and more casual, outdoorsy heavy wool pants. Anything close to this I found was $100 more. I am seriously considering buying a second pair. Love 'em.

Great Pants that make you want to ski and dance. Review by Mac

I have tried many different brands of wool pants. These have been my favorite. Great weight and style. I have used them under a pair of soft-shell pants during my days while teaching skiing. Probably not the normal use but for me it is a great combo. I use them on the street and have received many compliments and inquiries about them. I blew out the top button, might be sign of having an "over cored" single pack ab. Haven't reached the keg with legs status. So, I just belt them up and the fit is even better. I would recommend these even to those that have not used wool. My only upgrade dreams would be the addition of a full length nylon liner for wind and wear. They might sound funny with this addition. I can't imagine cold days without them. I will see how much spring use they get. Thanks for making a great pair of pants.

Great pants overall Review by Gingerman

Received a couple of weeks ago and overall very happy. I normally wear a 32-32 and these are as expected for that size.
Took them on a recent business trip and they were great as a travel change of clothes and offer added warmth vs. suit pants worn during the day. Sometimes that is too much warmth when on a plane but appreciated otherwise.
These pants do not really have the form to be true work wear if you wear a suit to work but that also means that they are comfortable. They are a little scratchy but a little wool wash will probably fix that. I have lots of merino for all seasons and this fits right in. I bought these on sale but having received and worn, i would have easily paid full price. I cannot imagine how the Ibex offering would be 2-3 times better.

fantastic field and front country pant Review by puma

I just broke in on a backcountry overnight ski in Yellowstone. Lightweight but warm with a thin layer underneath, great cut and fit, and slipped perfectly over my ski boot. Wore equally well to town for nice dinner. Simply comfortable around the house. I'll use this pant for hunting, skiing, out on the town, biological field work, you name it. Just need a second pair in case they don't make down the road. Side pocket on left leg not useful and would rather it be absent, or at least open at the top. Otherwise, very sharp wool pants that I've been looking for.

Like the cut-light weight. I wear silk or light weight woolies under. The little pocket is worthless to me. Looks nice. Don't know what you would put in it bad angle won't hold much and would fall out easy if wasn't buttoned. Like the pant.

So far have worn it for work slacks and for weekend pleasure. Just wish it was available in another color so I could wear the pants more than once per week. Don't want to wear same thing every day.
