Partnerships & Alliances

As caretakers of the mountain life, we recognize that it’s our responsibility to help protect the resources that provide it. We’re proud to partner with some tremendous organizations in their missions to responsibly advance outdoor recreation and protect our wild surroundings.

  • APR
American Prairie Reserve (APR) is a freestanding Montana-based nonprofit that started to assemble land in 2004. APR's main focus is to purchase and permanently hold title to private lands that glue together a vast mosaic of existing public lands so that the region is managed thoughtfully and collaboratively with state and federal agencies for wildlife conservation and public access.
  • POW
Protect Our Winters was founded by pro snowboarder Jeremy Jones to unite and engage the snow sports communities around the world in the fight against climate change. By mobilizing individuals, local businesses, corporations and ski resorts, POW aims to bridge the gap between the winter sports community and the action being taken to address the problem, through activism and community-based initiatives.
  • Conservation Alliance
The Conservation Alliance is a group of outdoor industry companies that disburses its collective annual membership dues to grassroots environmental organizations. We direct our funding to community-based campaigns to protect threatened wild habitat and outdoor recreation. The Alliance was founded in 1989 by industry leaders REI, Patagonia, The North Face, and Kelty, who shared the goal of increasing outdoor industry support for conservation efforts. We now have more than 200 member companies, and plan to disburse $1.8 million in 2017.
  • High Mountain
Since 1974, High Mountain Heli-Skiing (HMH) has been offering its guests the ultimate deep powder helicopter skiing experience in Jackson Hole. They operate a new Bell 407 helicopter to access 305,000-acre terrain south of the Jackson Hole Mountain Resort, including all of the Snake River and Palisades Mountain Ranges, and portions of the Hoback, Teton and the Gros Ventre Mountain Ranges. Vast open bowls, steep chutes, enchanted forests and glades can all be yours to explore. A member of the Heli-Ski US Association, HMH operates on the Bridger-Teton and Caribou-Targhee National Forests under a permit from the National Forest Service. Stio proudly outfits HMH with guide gear that accompanies the crew to the remote peaks of greater Jackson Hole.
  • Roadhouse
Roadhouse Brewing Co. was founded when two Jackson Hole locals united to combine their passions for garage brewing, fine dining and entrepreneurial pursuits. Their twists on traditional American and Belgian styles were an instant hit. Together we’ve collaborated on Loose Boots IPA, a citrusy, big hopped IPA that goes down easy over nachos and stories from an epic day on the slopes. A business that started in a garage just opened a state of the art brewing facility right down the street from Stio’s HQ. Productivity has gone down, but spirits are high!
  • Keely's
Keely’s Ski Camp for Girls mission is to empower, inspire, educate, and connect the next generation of girls in skiing. Keely’s famous, all female, Olympic and world class coaching team, has earned her camp a reputation as one of the best rated ski camps in the industry. Girls, nationwide, attend Keely’s Camp to be trained and mentored by some of the best female athletes in the world. Keely currently offers backcountry, big mountain and ski racing camps around the world.
  • Sun Valley Trekking
Sun Valley Trekking (SVT) provides exceptional backcountry experiences to those that enjoy the climb, savor pristine snow and embrace wild landscapes. SVT empowers guests to experience the joys, challenges and rewards of an outstanding journey into the mountains. For over 35 years, their team of professional guides has been leading quality backcountry skiing, mountain biking and trekking adventures in Idaho and beyond. SVT’s six unique huts and yurts provide unmatched access to phenomenal terrain for skiing, mountain biking and trekking.
  • Bridger-Teton
The Bridger-Teton Avalanche Center provides a daily summary of existing snow conditions and avalanche hazard in the Jackson Hole vicinity. Stio is grateful for their work in keeping backcountry enthusiasts safe and informed.
  • Outdoor Industry
OIA was founded in 1989 by a group of 14 visionary outdoor industry pioneers who created the association to be a unified, collaborative, pre-competitive voice to help guide the industry. Today, OIA is the voice of the outdoor recreation industry, both locally and in Washington D.C., serving more than 1200 manufacturers, retailers distributors, suppliers, sales representatives, nonprofits and outdoorists.y
