Me and my warm Hometown
Review by Charlie Iacobelli

I think this years coat is really warm and the hood fits me better. I like the color choices I had to choose from this year.

My son lives in it!
Review by Kristin

This is hands down the best down coat for kids we've owned. We've owned a lot of other brands but this one nails it with the weight....its not too heavy, not too light. Perfect for an active kid running around outside on a cold day or skiing at the mountain. My son literally lives in it. Love the colors and the fact that its sturdier than a lot of other down coats. Have passed 2 of these down to younger siblings and friends (happy friends!!) and they are still going strong!

excellent kids winter down jacket
Review by Fletch

My two boys both have the Hometown Down Jackets and they wear them every day. They are warm dry and super comfortable. The only thing i would change is to make the outer shell titanium so they can't destroy them.

Awesome jacket
Review by Abby

Comfy and super lilght weight--no bulk. Looks great, too. Hard to believe it will be warm enough in the wind and cold with how light it is! So far so good. My son loves this jacket so much that he would not let me return it, though it a touch on the small side. He is 11 years old, slender, but tall. We bought a 14 which is the largest kids size offered. It fits him a little smaller than I'd like--enough room for a thin underlayer, but not much more. It sizes similar to the Spyder jackets we've had--I always buy a size up with Spyder. I am praying that we get through the whole cold New England winter with this jacket. After one 20 degree weekend in VT, my son was still all smiles!!

best jacket!
Review by seejakerun

the hometown jacket for kids (and the adult version as well) is THE best! i am constantly cold, but never am with this coat on. my kids love this coat too. if you want a roomier fit, you might want to consider sizing up. i wouldn't say this runs small though. it's very true to size. my average sized kid wore a 6 when he was 5-6 yrs. old and a size 8 as a 7 almost 8 yr. old. i personally think the coat starts looking a little short once my kids reach the age of the size of the coat. i'm seriously considering getting a size 12 for my 8 year old, so he can wear it longer, since these coats are definitely made to last. you won't be disappointed buying this coat.

Best Jacket! I got this for all 3 of my kids. It's tough, cute, great colors and they like it so much they actually take care of their coats! Well worth the money. Thank you, Stio!

THE best jacket
Review by seejakerun

there couldn't be a better jacket! everything about it (e.g. thickness, warmth, down quality, fill, weight, etc) outshines similar jackets made by other brands. i think it runs pretty true to size. my average sized almost 7 year old just outgrew his size 6 jacket. (the body still fits, but when he puts the hood on, the jacket rides up a little too high.) i just wish the color choices were more basic, standard colors, like: black, true red, true green, etc.. the grey (aka "eiffle tower") we have is fantastic though. the brighter colored lining isn't my favorite, but it's not a big deal since this coat is so fantastic. you will not be disappointed with this coat.

Best down jacket available for kids.
Review by CR'sDad

This is a well-made, great-fitting jacket. Materials and construction are excellent. While this jacket can be passed along to one of my friend's children, it's a bit pricey for (maybe) two seasons of use for a rapidly growing 10-year old.

Finally a great down jacket for kids.
Review by For the kids

I bought each of my kids this coat for Christmas. Now the can stay as warm as I do when we go on winter trips. Super construction, fit, and function. They love it.

We bought for my son and he loves it! Would tell anyone to buy it!

Love it!
Review by KMack

Our ten year old LOVES this jacket. It's super comfy and warm without being overly puffy. We still have to test it out on the slopes for warmth in colder conditions, but our other two kids are lobbying for their own Stio jackets.
