Review by Cooper - Staff

I snagged this jacket in Tap Shoe and love the color, definitely the best looking light shell I've own. But the piece goes beyond just being wicked stylish, this thing is a work horse. I recently wore it on a 18 mile hike through sun, rain, and sleet. I stayed bone dry. Full pit zips made adjusting to the crazy temp changes a breeze. For reference I'm 5'11'' and 180 lbs, and got the large since I like to have some room to layer. If you're my size and looking for a more trim fit go for the medium.

Wearable in the shower
Review by Jeb - Staff

Not much to say other than this thing keeps me bone dry in torrential rains and lookin' good on the street. Packs down really well. I travel with this everywhere I go now.
I am 5'11" 165 and it fits perfectly.

Jack of All Trades Jacket
Review by Fasterskis

5'11" 195lbs Bought the medium and it is perfect. Primary use is shoulder seasons with lots of on-hill use as an outer layer. It doesn't get any summer rest as it has become my golf and cycling rain jacket due to it's light weight and compact-ability. Replaced a favorite patagucci torrentshell and discovered it is so much more than that jacket ever was.

Bulk order, everyone loves them!

I ordered about 80 of these for a corporate event. Everyone loved the quality & look. Very unique and great gift! Working with their sales team was a breeze.

Exactly what I was expecting when I ordered it!!

Great product

Light, breathable, and built for movement
Review by PW

I have had this for a month now and am really impressed. I have used it for everyday use in the city along with cycle commuting. I have been caught out in heavy rain and this jacket repels water like a shield while staying breathable! The fabric has some stretch to it which is really nice on the bike and also allows for easy layering with a midweight insulation.

My go to windbreaker
Review by John Mark - Staff

The Modis is perfect for those brisk spring/fall mornings. It's light weight and perfectly breathable, I definitely recommend it.

A really good rain and wind repeller
Review by Shane212

The jacket, extremely light, does a superb job protecting from wind and from cold penetrating, not so good at rain protection as it tends, like so many similar jackets, to absorb moisture into the inside of the jacket, especially in heavy rain. Spraying with a water proofing liquid — the kind made especially for outdoor wear — changes it into complete waterproof protection. A really good piece of equipment.

Review by WallClimber

Good fit, loads of technical features, stylish as well for wearing in town. I have yet to use it climbing but look forward to trying it out. I expect it'll perform well.

Great Technical Rain Jacket
Review by Chefbillyd

I just spent the last 10 days trekking around the Kenai Peninsula in Alaska as well as fishing for king and sockeye salmon in Bristol Bay. This jacket does it all: lightweight, great mobility, & stays dry (all day long). Very well made.

Good Looks, Good Quality
Review by Vince

Spring backpacking and fly fishing trip in the Sierras presented rain and wind a few afternoons. Stayed dry and could adjust the vents to keep me from overheating while hiking. Highly adjustable. Just one look and you can tell this jacket is well made. If I don't lose it, it'll last me a long, long time.

It rocks
Review by dan loftus

The medium is a perfect fit, for me at 5'10" 170lbs, with room for layers underneath. I used it ski touring in the rain and the ventilation kept it from getting nasty on the inside. Then I did a 2 day kayak trip and it rained and snowed the entire time and I pretty much lived in it(happily).

too short.
Review by Ozzie

Really liked the style, materials and features of the jacket but it was way too short for a rain jacket. It only came to my belt line. I am 5'11" 190 lb and ordered the large. I ended up returning it. The jacket fit everywhere else and I felt the xl would be too long in the arms and still not give the added length I was hoping for.

Perfect Shoulder Season Jacket
Review by LB (Staff)

The off-seasons here in Jackson get kind of nasty, and the Modis has been rock solid so far. It's lightweight and highly breathable giving it great purpose. Whether its biking to work in the rain or a lunchtime skin up the King, this jacket is rad.

Ultralight function
Review by Sulli (Staff)

The Modis is:

Full Waterproof protection
Supa breathable
Fitted for action
Outdoor yet Urbanian (is Urbanian a word?)
Sleek and Stylish

So far to date...I've skied, cycled, run (it's still cold in Jackson), traveled, and fished in the Modis...covers a ton of bases in an ultralight, super compact package. The stowaway hood is the best ever, super svelte...love this style.

Truly the best price to value jacket you will ever own!!
Review by Jon

I recently purchased the MODIS Jacket and it was all I expected. I had it on during a cold rainy NE day and it kept me warm and dry all day. Another wonderful product from Stio!!!!
