Nice pants but fabric so-so
Review by Rick

Design and assembly of pants very good. Comfortable and functional. But the material snags and pulls. Just one day skiing in snow and ice, small pulls developed from the snow melting then freezing on the material. They are waterproof but I don't think the fabric will hold up.

Great product
Review by Dr Sage

I bought these pants at the start of the skiing season to replace a similar pair of Cloudveil soft shell pants that I had loved. These were made of very similar fabric, very stretchy, fairly wind resistant, breathable and thick, like a good pair of wool pants. These are very comfortable pants. After a day of skiing, I sometimes forget to change. More than once, I've worn them to a short work day where I head straight out to the sloops from my office. The pockets are just right. I'm 5'11, 160 lbs, and the mediums fit perfectly. My previous Cloudveil pants, which I liked for similar reasons, were good for 2 ski seasons before the cuffs, which don't have any reinforcement, were shredded. After 2 months of using these pants, I don't see any signs of wear (maybe my telemark skiing technique has improved!).

excellent quality, not so much on fit
Review by mark

I just received these in the mail, and tried them on with my AT boots. The quality, fabric, and attention to detail are top notch, I really wish I was keeping them. I will send them back due to fitting issues, namely they are too short for me, and too tight in the thighs. I'm 6' 1", 175 lb (34x34 in Levis) and got the Skillets in size 34. These pants fit the diameter of my AT boots OK, but are too short to stay down, and without a gator I can see snow getting up my leg. A minor point, but I don't need back pockets on a backcountry ski pant. Seriously tho, very well made Schoeller pants for $200, I wish they fit...
