Rob finds solitude and inspiration every time he sets foot in the mountains. A lifetime of chasing powder led Rob to the creation of Blueberry Island, a content marketing firm that specializes in helping outdoor-based product companies appeal to new audiences. Rob's other passion for mountain biking collided with snow sports when he met the guys from SNO-GO Bikes. Rob is now responsible for marketing the fastest-growing new winter sport, snogoing, throughout the world.

Which of Stio's values personally align to you?

We must always create and find new ways to improve outdoor experiences and shape the ways we see the world. We must also work to create equal access for all. With these practices, a broader spectrum of individuals and groups can find shared enjoyment and common ground through the pureness of nature. It just feels good to be outside.

How do you create balance in your daily life?

Someone once told me you can only do 3 things well at once and I've found that to be very true in life. For me lately, that's work, family and recreation. Balance isn't easy. I tend to go 110% at everything and sometimes managing even 2 out of 3 is hard, but you just do it. You don't find balance, you will it.

What is a bucket list activity you have yet to do or a place that you have yet to go?

Powder skiing in Japan.

What is your go-to workout music?

I love everything from screamo to Broadway musicals, but mostly upbeat indie stuff when pedaling my bike.

What is a piece of advice you would give to someone who wants to pursue a life of mountain sports and adventures?

Doing what you love is what matters most.
