A tribute to touring zone caretakers who chop the wood and fix the solar in the backcountry, this oversized women’s flannel is double-brushed soft and double-thick warm.

Caretaking huts is often a partnership, yet the women who chop the wood, keep the fires stoked and fix the solar rarely get recognition. The Hutkeeper is our tough-as-nails tribute to that backcountry spirit with double-brushed, thick-skinned, super-warm-yet-super-soft organic flannel. Worn as a work shirt, under a ski shell or as the height of woodstove après fashion—it’s instantly at home in any hut, yurt or cabin. Shaped with a slight curve, fit like an overshirt and styled with a custom Stio® yarn-dyed plaid, it’s the only one you need to pack or pick for trips to treeline shelter.

Materials

We are committed to building garments that are durable, timeless and continue to perform season after season. After years of research, testing and product development, in 2024 we completely removed PFAS from all of our newly developed products. We remain committed to growing our Preferred Materials usage, which includes organic cotton, recycled materials and responsibly-sourced down and wool, to 75% by the end of 2025.

Our apparel is built to last. As a part of our efforts to reduce waste and keep more gear in the mountains where it belongs, our home-grown gear renewal program allows previously-used items to be traded in, cleaned, repaired and circulated back into use.
