Now designed with 100% recycled nylon to deliver trustworthy warmth with more responsible materials, this lightly insulated technical layer combines an abrasion-resistant outer shell with responsibly sourced 800-fill HyperDRY™ water-repellent down.

From ridgeline transitions to breezy belays and cool nights in the desert, our Women’s Pinion Down Sweater is the perfect way to equalize unexpected chills. In keeping with our passion for protecting the places where we play and being accountable stewards of these places, we’ve shifted this flagship, year-round insulator to 100% recycled nylon. Lightly insulated, packable enough for the mountains and stylish enough for drinks back in town, the Pinion is designed with a lightweight and abrasion-resistant Pertex Quantum ripstop shell that blocks wind and light precip. Also featuring responsibly sourced, 800-fill HyperDRY water-repellent down, this light jacket will stay warm and lofty through mixed conditions. The Pinion offers low-bulk comfort under a harness or paired with leggings, and a self-stuffing pocket lets you quickly stash it away in a pack or shoulder bag.

Pertex Quantum® is built for maximum strength, while staying lightweight and soft without sacrificing resistance. Made with 20D nylon and a DWR finish, it's lightweight while still offering excellent wind resistance and water repellency. The shadow ripstop creates the look of traditional ripstop without the raised weave, resulting in a modern twist on a traditional outdoor fabric.

Materials

We are committed to building garments that are durable, timeless and continue to perform season after season. Over 50% of our product line incorporates preferred materials, which include organic cotton, recycled materials and responsibly-sourced down. We are committed to growing our preferred materials usage to 75% by 2025.

Trade-In Program

We believe a circular commerce system will design out waste and pollution, allowing for used clothing to be renewed and put back into use. Stio Second Turn™️ is our gear renewal program that allows customers to trade in and shop used apparel.
