Austin Gibney | @austin_gibney
School Counselor, Outdoor Educator, Snowboarder, Dad | Colorado
Austin’s passion for playing outside started at a young age during family camping trips. In his pursuit to spend more time outside, he started working in outdoor education, predominantly for the Colorado Outward Bound School. He realized the real value of his work was developing people (and himself) for everyday life, not just for the mountains. This inspired him to earn a master’s degree in Clinical and School Counseling.
Today, Austin lives in Colorado with his family, works as a school counselor and runs the outdoor education program for the school district. In the winter he snowboards, and in the summers he enjoys river surfing, mountain biking, and climbing. Along the way, he has also been a freeride coach, filmmaker, athlete, cook and advocate to reduce conflicts between different backcountry user groups.

Eliza Cowie | @elizacowie
Air Quality and Environmental Lobbyist, Skier | Utah
Eliza is an air quality and environmental lobbyist, located in Salt Lake City, and calls the Wasatch her backyard and Alta her home base. In the winter, when the legislative session is in full force, she keeps her skis, boots, and figment kit in the backseat next to suit coats and dress shoes so that she can easily hop between two completely separate worlds that physically exist only 30 minutes from each other. In the fall and spring, that ski kit gets swapped out for bike shorts so that she can lead her weekly women’s bike group, WAP Wednesdays (come join us!).
Eliza grew up in a small town nestled in the heart of the White Mountains of New Hampshire. Her parents, an environmental writer and lawyer, met as singles in the t-bar line at their local Cannon Mountain and she spent her childhood exploring and learning how to best protect the places she loved most. Her interests in community resiliency and outdoor recreation grew from there and she’s worked to preserve and support mountain towns and outdoor recreation since graduating from St. Lawrence University in 2017.
Kevin Doherty-Regalia | @kdohreg_16

Kevin enjoys many facets of skiing, such as big mountain freeriding, backcountry, park, and ski mountaineering. Mike Emmet | @mikemmet_
Conservationist, Skier, Boat Captain | California
Originally from Maryland, Mike grew up skiing the small mountains of Maryland and Southern Pennsylvania. He cut his teeth on hardpack with edges dulled by handrails, and in 2016 moved to South Lake Tahoe... and hasn't left since.
Skiing was Mike’s first true passion, but he has recently gotten into freediving and scuba diving as a means to remove trash from Lake Tahoe and the rivers and streams that make up its watershed. This began as a way for Mike to pass time and recover from a broken back in an April 2022 ski accident, but quickly became something that he wanted to build on. Mike began volunteering with a non-profit called Clean Up the Lake in early 2022, and as of December 2023 he is in the process of starting a non-profit of his own specifically for his conservation diving efforts in the rivers and streams of the Lake Tahoe basin.
Mike works long hours in the summertime as a licensed 50 Ton USCG Boat Captain in order to free up his time in the winter.
