Care instructions can be found on the tag inside each garment. In our experience we find Granger's down and performance wash to be the best on the market. We sell them both through our online store. Using these products will help increase the longevity of your items.
Our Environ, Raymer, Shot 7, and Colter Down are designed specifically for the slopes, though we certainly see quite a few Hometown Downs in the Tram Line! The Environ is our most popular ski jacket.
Our Down Jackets are our warmest winter jackets. Many people love our Hometown Down Collection! The Shot 7, Colter Down, and Woodson are also great options.
To redeem an E-Gift Card, enter the gift card code into the "Gift Card or Discount code" box upon checking out on stio.com or provide the code to the store associate when checking out at a Stio Mountain Studio.

There are 3 levels of condition.
Excellent: Practically new; likely never worn outside or worn outside rarely.
Great: Trail-tested; worn a few times with minor wear visible.
Good: Used for a season or two; has visible wear.
Yes. If your Stio Second Turn item isn’t the right fit for you we will most certainly accept returns of clean, unworn, unwashed, and unaltered items for a refund. All Stio Second Turn items must be returned by emailing us at secondturn@stio.com. Please refer to our returns and exchanges policy for more information.
If you have multiple Second Turn codes you would like to redeem on one order, please contact us to place your order.
Unfortunately, we aren’t accepting trade-ins from outside the U.S. at this time.
If we are unable to accept the items you send in, we will either donate or recycle them.
You can use your Stio credit online at Stio.com or at one of our Mountain Studio locations.
Stio items that qualify for trade-in will receive up to 25% of the original retail value in USD.
Yes, you can drop off items for trade-in at any Stio Mountain Studio, and you will still receive your credit by email and not at the time you drop them off.
Simply follow the trade-in instructions to receive a prepaid shipping label, print the label, package up your items and drop them off at your nearest FedEx.
We accept gear that is in good shape and functions perfectly. Items must at least meet our “Good” standard. Level of quality below:
Excellent: Practically new; likely never worn outside or worn outside rarely.

Good: Used for a season or two; visible wear.
We do not accept: Swimwear, co-branded items, accessories (hats, scarves, beanies, socks), t-shirts, underwear, baselayers or any products under $99 MSRP.
Gather up to three of your excellent-to-lightly-worn Stio items that are fully functional and in overall good condition.
Fill out the trade-in form to provide your address and item information, and we will email you a prepaid shipping label. Print your shipping label, package up your items and drop them off at your nearest FedEx location. While we don’t provide packaging for your items, we will cover the cost of shipping. You can help limit waste by reusing any boxes or packaging you may already have.
After we receive and process your items, we will email you a credit that can be used for any purchase at Stio.com or our Mountain Studio locations. Please allow 2-4 weeks for us to process your items and email your credit.
Please ensure that the items you are sending in are in good condition—free of any tears, rips, stains or broken zippers. If we are unable to find your item in our catalog or your item is not in good, fully functional condition, you may not receive any credit for your items.
Two types of exchanges are available.
Even Exchange: Exchange for a different size or color of the same product.
Uneven or “Shop Now” Exchange: Exchange an item for a different product(s).
With either type, your exchange order will ship at the time you drop your return off at the carrier.
Please allow up to 3 weeks total for your refund to reflect from the day you sent back your items. Depending on the carrier, this time frame could be longer. Please feel free to contact the Customer Experience Team at customerexperience@stio.com for any updates along the way.
Returns can take up to 3 weeks to travel back to our warehouse and be processed. You will receive an email confirmation regarding your refund once it has been processed.
For exchanges, the items you are returning must be received and scanned by the return carrier first. Your new items will be reserved only after that. The faster you ship back your return, the faster you will receive your new items and the more likely the items you want to exchange for will be available.
