About Trade-In

Items that qualify for Trade-In will receive up to 25% of the original retail value.

Step 1: Gather
Gather up to ten of your gently used Stio® items. We accept Stio® apparel that is in good shape and functions perfectly.
Condition

Excellent: Practically new; likely never worn outside

Great: Trail-tested a few times; minor wear visible

Good: Used for a season; visible wear

Step 2: Send In
Mail in your items with the prepaid shipping label provided during trade-in or return them at one of our Mountain Studio™ locations. You’ll receive the prepaid label once you fill out the trade-in form.**

Step 3: Receive Reward
Give us about 2-4 weeks to receive and process your items. After we receive and process your items, we will email you a unique redemption code that can be used for purchase at Stio.com or at any of our Mountain Studio™ locations.

FAQ

How does the program work? Arrow Right

Gather up to ten of your gently used Stio® items that are fully functional and in overall good condition.

Fill out the trade-in form with your address and item information, and we will email you a prepaid shipping label. Print your shipping label, package up your items and drop them off at your nearest FedEx location or Mountain Studio™. Bonus points if you reuse an old Stio® box or envelope!

After we receive and process your items, we will email you a redemption code that can be used at Stio.com or at any of our Mountain Studio™ locations. For all submissions including in-store drop offs, please allow 2-4 weeks for us to process your items and send your redemption code.

Please ensure that the items you are sending in are in good condition—free of any tears, rips, stains or broken zippers. If we are unable to find your item in our catalog, your item is one of our ineligible styles, or your item is not in good, fully functional condition, you may not receive any credit for your items. Items deemed ineligible for trade-in will not be returned under any circumstance.

Which items are eligible for trade-in? Arrow Right

We accept gear that is in good shape and functions perfectly. Items must at least meet at least one of the following standards in order to be accepted for trade-in.

Excellent: Practically new; likely never worn outside or worn outside rarely.

Great: Trail-tested a few times; minor wear visible.

Good: Used for a season or two; visible wear.

We do not accept: Swimwear, co-branded items, accessories (including but not limited to hats, scarves, beanies, socks, bags or packs), t-shirts, underwear, baselayers or any products under $50 MSRP.

Can I trade in Stio® items that I didn't purchase from you directly? Arrow Right

Yes, you can submit your Stio® items for trade-in regardless of where you purchased them.

Can I trade in my items at a Mountain Studio™? Arrow Right

Yes, you can drop off items for trade-in at any Mountain Studio™. You will still receive your credit by email and not at the time you drop them off.

Can I send in items from outside the United States? Arrow Right

Unfortunately, we aren’t accepting trade-ins from outside the United States at this time.

What happens to the items that aren't deemed acceptable for trade-in? Arrow Right

If we are unable to accept the items you send in, we will either donate or recycle them. Items deemed ineligible for trade-in will not be returned under any circumstance.

How much credit will I receive for my items? Arrow Right

Eligible items will receive up to 25% of the original retail value in the form of a unique redemption code. This code can be used online or in-store.

Can I combine multiple redemption codes on one order? Arrow Right

If you have multiple Second Turn™ codes you would like to redeem on one order, please contact us to place your order.

How long do redemption codes last? Arrow Right

Second Turn™ redemption codes last for one year before expiring.

Can I return an item I purchased through the program? Arrow Right

Second Turn™ items are final sale.

Are Second Turn™ items covered by the Warranty program? Arrow Right

Second Turn™ items are excluded from our Warranty program.
