As a mother, wife, farmer, Forest Service worker, and podcast host, Liz Townley found herself struggling to find balance in all of these roles. After experiencing the loss of a family member, Liz signed up for and was accepted to the Canyon de Chelly 50K Ultra Race. During her 500 miles of training, Liz was reminded of what public lands can do for the mind, body, and heart.
