Flirting With Time

By Stio Mountain on

Jobs sustain the mountain life, but once that “Open” sign turns to “Closed,” the time is ours. Flirting With Time celebrates the early alarms we set and headlamp batteries we burn out to keep up with the mountain pursuits we love, even with a 9-5 routine. In the end, it’s not about maxing out your schedule, but getting the most out of every minute.

EPISODE 1: ALPINE GLASS

The schedule is tight, the air is cold, but the sunrise is inviting. Work will be better if there's time to skate across the open lake on the way to punching in.

EPISODE 2: MORNING MOTIVATION

Parking lot by 6:30. Summit by 7:30. At work by 8:00. Crunching up the skintrack in the dark keeps us in balance with the mountains before the rush of the work day begins.

EPISODE 3: TRACERS AT DUSK

When the sign turns from “Open” to “Closed,” it’s time to lock up and head to the hills because even when the sun goes down a light can illuminate the path.
