Sean is a physical therapist first, but this doesn't get in the way of his addiction to skiing in the winter and enjoying an array of outdoor activities in the summer. Growing up in Colorado meant learning to balance work and play from a young age, and those teachings seemed to have paid off. The life of being a weekend warrior led Sean to a strong commitment to working during the week to enable extravagant adventures at all other times. You’ll find Sean seeking out remote peaks and adrenaline-fueled activities when he isn't advocating for his PT patients to join him in the mountains.

Which of Stio's values personally align to you?

Sustainability. I've always had a knack for wearing clothes until they explode and the dedication that Stio shows in the quality of the material and design of each product enables me to do so.

How do you create balance in your daily life?

Balance is more of a pursuit that never ends. Some weeks I have success and others less so. Success in finding balance has come from patience, good planning, setting goals for each week and year of my life, and building time to get outside for at least an hour every day.

What is a bucket list activity you have yet to do or a place that you have yet to go?

Skiing in Chamonix and/or spending 2-4 weeks doing non-heli skiing in Alaska.

What is your go-to workout music?

Best Thing Since Backroads - Jake Owen

What is a piece of advice you would give to someone who wants to pursue a life of mountain sports and adventures?

Care Less, Do More - we don't need permission to go on adventures, we don't need funding to go on our dream trips, we don't need a lucrative job to be a "pro" skier. If you're stoked on the activity, the people or the location, then set an intention just go do it.
