Practical Western Flair
Review by Megan-Staff

I love that this jacket is practical, warm, and works well as a layering piece or as a shoulder season jacket with a bit of flair. I like that I can wear it open or button just one button over a cute shirt. Fun jacket!

Another awesome stio jacket
Review by Susan

Love the snap shirt jacket!! It fits perfectly (I got a M I’m 5’8” 125 lbs) it different and goes great with jeans around town or anything in the woods. It’s a nice light weight perfect for 30 degree spring days in VT :). I gave it 4 stars for quality bc some of the snaps are hard to close..... but the actual garment is a 5

great jacket
Review by Allen Dennis

Bought the red, and she loves the jacket, but the SNAPS are hard to work. So she wears but can't snap. I have two with no problems. If you order make sure to ask them if the snaps are easy to work.

Love this
Review by Blaire

I love this jacket. Has a great look and fit. I bought a medium, which seems perfect-I'm 5'5.5" and about 130 pounds--also I order smalls in Patagonia coats if that helps. Got the jalapeño red, it's not that red, but I still love the color. I'm able to use this now ok cold days but will be perfect for spring cold days and next fall! Stio makes good stuff!

Awesome Mid-Layer, Shell, or Light Jacket
Review by Jenny in Alaska

I love this versatile piece. I use it as both a mid and outer layer. I like putting a fleece underneath and a heavier coat over it for trekking in arctic temperatures, and it's perfect as an outer layer when I get to climbing and sweating. I also just like wearing it as a light jacket around town--it's nice looking. Fits well, not too snug, and allows mobility.

Great layering piece
Review by MM

My new go-to layering piece. I'm wearing it right now. I got the orion blue which is a smoky gray blue. I'm 5'2, 140 and 34D. I got the medium and it leaves room for me to wear a long sleeve top or button down underneath. It's perfect for our cold office, or wearing as a layering piece. I'd definitely consider getting it in another color. I love the deep fleece lined pockets! They make this super cozy. I also love the shirt tail hem in the back -- no back draft! It's a bit expensive, but the quality and great design elements more than make up for it.

Great jacket
Review by lory

Purchased this a year ago in blue but the size wasn't right even though I tried large and medium. Just ordered this in medium and it's perfect for my curvy figure.

It's a Keeper
Review by Sierra Gal

I love the lightweight warmth and the retro styling that is just a little different from most down sweaters.
The fit is comfortable, and the extended flap on the back is perfect for an active life. I'm 5'5", 130 lbs, 36C and the medium fits comfortably over a sweatshirt or light sweater but still fits well over just a t-shirt. This will be my go-to light layer for this winter.
One note about the color. I got red which is not quite the Ducati red I was hoping for - more of a faded pinkish red that I'd call "Pepper-berry" not "Cayenne" . However it's still a keeper!

Different and functional!
Review by Yellowstone's Park

Love this "shacket"!It's been my go-to fall jacket-I wear it to work (in a casual office/lab setting) as an alternative to a fleece for when I get chilly, but I've also worn it around camp on a recent trip to southern Utah and it performed really well in those windy, fall evenings in the high desert. The styling is what makes it a cut above-it's different from all the "typical" fleeces and lightly insulated jackets that everyone else is wearing-performs like a technical piece but with a little more style. I plan to use it this winter as a mid-layer, too. The fit is perfect (I got a small and I'm 5'9 ", 34b, 135# with a slim/athletic build and long torso. It's long enough in the body that the drop-tail covers my lower back when I bend over (a personal must for me).

Versatile for Work and Play
Review by Jennymcc5309

I love this jacket, which is perfect as a light overcoat at work (in Alaska I can wear it like a blazer, but we consider professional office attire to be carharrts and hiking boots), and even better to wear out running, biking in the fall. Makes a nice insulative midlayer in the winter, too. I take off my giant outerlayer when it's my turn to ice climb, and climb in this jacket/shirt with a thin fleece or wool underneath. Gets it done even at 5 below!

Camo for the Win
Review by Courtney - Staff

Loving this jacket, I have the solid and now the camo and it is such a cool layering piece that is also a great weight for mountain town fall, fits well and is such a great print!!

love it!
Review by mdean

I have two of these from past years. Love the versatility of snaps and that the material glides over my shirts and is wind resistant - a change from wearing fleece. Perfect jacket for fall or as a winter layer (it's not bulky but has the right amount of insulation to function well as either). True to size.

Great Shirt
Review by khill - staff

Skycrest is my go to for shoulder season outerwear. I love that it wears like a shirt. I most often style this with a flannel or woven underneath. The full snap placket allows me to wear fully closed or just pinched at the waist for a more feminine look. Great value!

Fall Jacket or Winter Layer
Review by PS - Staff

I love the Skycrest as a jacket in the fall or I also wear it as a layer/shirt in the winter. The Ponderosa Pine is a great addition to my wardrobe. I am a traditional large and the large in the Skycrest is a perfect fit!

Just ordered a second.....
Review by Providence

LOVE this jacket! I wanted a lightweight, yet warm, jacket to wear horseback riding. The barn is cold and I spend several hours there both grooming and riding. So far, the Skycrest is the jacket I grab everyday on my way out the door. It has held up well to my horse's slobber, the mud, and whatever else comes my way while at the barn! I am ordering another.....

Love the "barn jacket" feel
Review by Madison - Staff

... with jeans, boots and a flannel or simple tee - classic fall look. It's the perfect layer for those tricky-to-dress-for days that start with frost on the windshield but warm up just in time for lunch.

Awesome Jacket!
Review by Courtney

I love this jacket, it fits great and has those big cozy pockets! This is a great chilly day version of a denim jacket. I am excited to wear it for chilly hikes or layered skiing but then over a nice shirt for dinner after a day outside, really love this piece!!

New Color
Review by LW - Staff

I love the new Ponderosa Pine color for this years Skycrest. The snap shirt is a great fall layer and looks great with jeans or cords. I'm 5'4" and 120lbs and wear a size SM, which fits great, however a bit long in the sleeves.

My new favorite jacket which offers great comfort but in a fashionable style piece which can be worn for any occasion. I love the Black Iris color and the size Small fits perfect for my 5'5' smaller frame.

I bought this "jacket" to take to Patagonia and it was great.
I layered it with an outer shell some days others it was fine with just a tee shirt. The workmanship is excellent.

A year 'round staple
Review by grnmtngrl

This is just what I wanted--I can throw in my pack for hiking, kayaking, festival going, whatever takes me outside. In the winter, I can layer it. It's lightweight, fits nicely, love the snap closure, washes easily and dries quickly. Bonus: It doesn't hold the dog hair. I bought my usual size M and it fits as expected.

My new favorite "shirt!"
Review by dj

I am not sure how I ever lived without this "shirt!" It is perfect! I love the color (Dresden Blue), I love the fit, I love the style, and I love the little details (red stitching & acorn). And I have received tons of compliments! I live in Bouldet CO & it has become a running joke with my friends as I wear it mostly as a "shirt" (as it is called a "snap SHIRT"), meaning I wear it a lot indoors & as a layer outdoors. My friends all like to argue that it is a "jacket," but I insist that it is a shirt & I'm sticking to it! :) Either way, buy it, you'll love it!!!

I love this jacket. It is perfect for layering or wearing as a jacket. It has a stylish cut that works for NYC and Jackson. I bought a small and it fits perfectly.

Best Layer EVER
Review by Jen H

Best purchase ever. I wear this layer skiing, riding, to work, out after work, volunteering at ski festival, getting firewood, NAME it. I'm in it. I am saving to buy a second in a different color, just so I can trade out and wash this piece once in a while. I LOVE IT. The lower hem in back is perfect, the sleeves are long enough, I can layer under AND over it, and the snaps are just different enough to catch my eye without sacrificing warmth. Even in strong winds the snaps are as effective as a zipper but better looking. The fill is non-allergenic and just the right weight. Truly my new favorite piece of clothing. I ordered a Large, and at 5'8", 36B, with strangely broad shoulders and long arms, it's a perfect fit. Thank you Stio!

Really the best jacket ever
Review by LH

This jacket has the best combination of features I could hope for. Comfortable, soft, warm but not too warm, and stylish. The fabric is soft and feels good to the touch, the insulation keeps you warm but it is light, not bulky, so it has a nice feminine shape. Plus, I love the slightly longer back hem (covers my butt and back when moving). I live in Georgia where winters are mild but I'm always on the cold side. Perfect dog walking jacket. Or doing anything jacket. I even wear it sitting inside the house! It's awesome. I would buy all 3 colors if I could. BTW- bought Dresden Blue - a flattering brighter blue.

Very nice "jacket"
Review by NearDC

I bought this because it is lightweight and versatile. It will work well in the usually mild VA winters. I got the lighter blue and it is a beautiful color.

Great versatile jacket. Light enough for crisp fall days or indoor wear. Wish it had zippered pocket for iPhone.

Great style and versatility
Review by Staff - Sarah

This snap-up synthetic down jacket is a great option for almost any occasion/conditions. Its a great transition piece for anything from running errands to big mountain adventures. In particular, its one of my favorite layering pieces for those bitter cold days, whether I'm going out or need that extra warmth on the slopes. Also, the snap-front closures give this technical jacket a more casual look, making it the perfect option for après ski.

My new favorite jacket
Review by Northshore Boston

I love this snap jacket. It's lightweight, stylish and warm. I am usually a medium but bought this in a large because I like a little room. It fits great without looking too large. I love the color too (red).....it really pops! Great jacket, Stio!

A nice surprise
Review by Staff-Lou Lou

To be honest, I wasn't wild about this jacket when I first saw it, however after putting it on and wearing it around a bit I am pleasantly surprised at how much I like it. It is another one of those pieces that transitions between outdoor functionality and lifestyle fashion really well. It is the perfect fall attire over some layers to keep you warm and stylish.

Another great "boyfriend" piece!
Review by Staff - Maura

Like the Buckhorn Jacket that I recently rated, this is another perfect boyfriend piece! Also, with a feminine fit, the Skycrest has light insulation that fits the bill during these October Jackson Hole days. I ordered the black iris color, and it goes perfectly with tall boots: think walks in the fields of London!

New and Different

This jacket/shirt is so fun to wear. It is incredibly versatile and gives a retro flare to a simple silhouette. I actually have it on right now, it's the perfect weight for my chilly office.

Can't pick a color? Get both... you won't regret it!
Review by Caitlin

I got this jacket in the lighter blue after seeing an image of it in the new fall arrivals on the website. There was a picture of a woman in a truck wearing it and it caught my attention for looking like something completely different than normal quilted insulated jackets. The color is vibrant and refreshing. The jacket fits well with tough snaps.. I'm obsessed with the lined pockets! It does well in high winds and chilly mornings/evenings. I loved it so much I ended up getting the red as well. The colors create different vibes and I can match it with just about any flannel. Definitely my new season favorite!

I think my favorite jacket ever!
Review by Liza T - Staff

I loved this jacket from the moment I saw it. Not only is the style on point, but the warmth level has been great for Fall as the temperature has been dropping in the evenings. I've also worn with my Environ from a couple of seasons ago that I like to wear on rainy days. I see myself layering with this all winter long. I got the Dresden Blue which I think really compliments the vintage style of the snap shirt! Probably my favorite jacket ever!
