The Backyard Bike Park Build Out

By Stio Mountain on

Sometimes, you don’t need to travel far to see the possibilities for new adventure in your very own backyard. Just outside of Kingfield, ME, Spencer Lee is working hard to build out Freeman Ridge Bike Park, a trail network with the goal of becoming a community bike park in the next few years. As the popularity of mountain biking in Maine soars, Spencer and his friends are aiming to build 8 miles of trail with options for every type of rider. For him, adventure means exploration, and fortunately he didn’t need to look far. With the land to work with and the will to build, he hopes his bike park will become a staple for riding in Maine for many years to come.
