Which of Stio's values personally align to you?

Balance Is Key and Outside Is For Everyone. Snowboarding has given me so much and for years it’s been my obsession, leaving no room for anything else. While incredibly rewarding, I needed more balance in my life, which I found through coaching and mentoring young adults with special needs. Now I have a new perspective and appreciation for independence and helping others find their individual ways of doing life and incorporating outdoor activities into it.

How do you create balance in your daily life?

After adventuring, traveling or simply dumping all my energy into whatever I'm doing, how do I find balance again? Having time at home being creative, cooking wholesome meals, hunting, gathering, gardening, baking, stretching and hanging out with my pup are some things I incorporate into my life. I can get so strung out going, going, going that these fall off the wagon, so I am learning to notice the signs of when the balance is off. Something small I do to get balance back is to set a timer for 5 minutes while I do some simple stretches, moving with my breath and getting centered.

What is a bucket list activity you have yet to do or a place that you have yet to go?

A winter hut trip in Europe, snowboarding Japanese and South American volcanos, a mountain biking trip to Moab, elk hunting in New Mexico, and caribou bow hunting in northern Alaska.

What is your go-to workout music?

Usually I start a radio station based on one of these: Alt j, Kai Straw, Glass Animals, Moontricks, kr3ture, or something jazzy, funky, electric with some bass… or I listen to books or podcasts.

What is a piece of advice you would give to someone who wants to pursue a life of mountain sports and adventures?

Don’t worry about the drama, prioritize making plans with people you love, educate yourself, know what your self care looks like and recover.
