Tyler was born and raised in the mountain-and-lakes region of western Maine. After several attempts at city living, the draw of the mountains became too strong. He and his family accepted the fate of mountain life and moved 30 minutes from his birthplace in North Conway, New Hampshire. Tyler is the owner of Backyard Concept (BYC), an outdoor advocacy and professional services firm specializing in legal, consulting, management and events serving the outdoor industry. Tyler’s deeply committed to living the mountain life whether he's skiing the steeps of Mt. Washington, biking out the back door, or catching fastballs from his sons Nelson and Levi while his wife Anne (and their kitty Lumi) keeps all three boys in order.

Do it. There's no playbook on how to make it happen, just a calculated leap of faith. If you only live once, you might as well give it a try. You'll be glad you did.
